Synopsis
A reserved teenager from a modest background is regularly called upon to look after her little brother in the absence of her mother, who has to work in the evening. She escapes her daily chores through the digital content she consumes on the web and social networks. One day, the teenager meets a new student at school and befriends him.
A game of seduction soon ensues between them. Influenced by the media and their peers, the two young protagonists imagine that to be loved, they have to be handsome and attractive. They fall prey to the Media character, who tries to influence them through social networks and advertising to adopt behaviors that don’t suit them. Under the pretext of a school project on digital art, Média pushes the two young teenagers in a direction they hadn’t imagined, violently disillusioning them with the ideals they’d built for themselves. The quest for online validation turns into a trap, exploiting their insecurities and creating the need to consume ever more beauty products, supplements and fashion accessories. How will they deal with Media’s insidious intrusion into their world, destroying their relationship with “the real world”?
