Paper and Shadow Theatre to addresses abuse
Théâtre À l’Envers lead a cultural mediation project with four groups of 4-years-old children from the University of Montréal childcare center in November and December 2019. The company presented 10 paper and shadow puppet theatre scenes that recreate Claude Ponti’s illustrated book Mô-Namour, to talk about abuse.

Lift the veil on hypersexualization
In 2016, Théâtre À l’Envers started a new project to raise awareness among young girls about hypersexualization. To do this, the TAE has joined the Maison d’Haïti as part of the Juste pour Elles program. The workshops, set up by four mediating artists including Emmanuelle Calvé, Marie-Ève Lefebvre Legault, Cécile Viggiano and Patricia Bergeron, aimed to address themes such as respect for one’s body and love for oneself through theater, dance and the visual arts. The young girls involved were then invited to take part in the creation of the show La Petite sirène, a show produced as part of the creation thesis of Patricia Bergeron, artistic director of the TAE.
Patricia was then interviewed as part of the special feature: Les femmes à l’honneur published in 2016 by the cultural mediation team of the city of Montreal: http://montreal.mediationculturelle.org/lever-le-voile-sur-lhypersexualisation-des-jeunes-filles/
