The film * The Golden Conch Shell * blends elements of West African folklore with those of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. It tells the story of Serena and Billy, a brother and sister trying to find their voice in the modern world. Their adventures take them to the bottom of the ocean where they encounter Mami Wata, the sea goddess, and her army of sharks. They must use all their ingenuity to escape Mami Wata's clutches and return home safely.

The film had its North American premiere at FIFEM (Montreal International Children's Film Festival) in early March 2021.
