2018: Mô-Namour

In 2018, Théâtre À l'Envers embarked on a new artistic adventure with MÔ-Namour , a stage adaptation of a tale by Claude Ponti. Aimed at children aged 4 to 9, this project was in keeping with the company's mission: to create poetic and impactful children's shows that address sensitive themes with delicacy.

The story follows Isée, a little girl accompanied by her cuddly toy Tadoramour, who must confront the psychological and physical violence of a deceptively welcoming character. Driven by her pain and then by her inner strength, Isée eventually rebels and finds hope, her parents, and self-respect.

The company conducted this work through a process of artistic research and experimentation, integrating puppetry, visual arts, and storytelling. A creative residency at Le Cube, an international center for research and creation in theatre for children and young people, allowed the team to share their explorations with professionals in child psychology. Cultural outreach sessions also enabled young audiences to discover excerpts in progress and contribute to the artists' reflections.

MÔ-Namour remains a significant milestone in the journey of Théâtre À l'Envers: a project that has successfully combined artistic excellence, social commitment and openness to young audiences.
